TMJ INSIDER

Dear TMJ Insider,

Every headline this week circles the same gravity: the accelerating military build-up in West Asia. US President Donald Trump has said we will know within roughly 10 days whether Washington can secure a nuclear agreement with Iran, as American deployments across the region intensify. After talks in Geneva, he warned that Iran must not obtain nuclear weapons and suggested “bad things” would follow if Tehran continues what he calls destabilizing actions. Iranian officials say they will respond within about two weeks to US demands to halt enrichment in exchange for sanctions relief. Meanwhile, military analysts note that US forces already in place could launch a large-scale air campaign if ordered, with carrier aircraft capable of more than 100 strike sorties per day. Satellite tracking shows expanded US air-defense systems in Qatar, regional tensions remain high after last year’s 12 day war involving Israel, and Iran’s Leader of the Islamic Revolution Seyyed Ali Khamenei has threatened retaliation against US naval forces if conflict escalates. The United Kingdom has signaled limits on the use of certain airbases for offensive missions, though Western governments could still be drawn into defensive operations. Uncertainty lingers over Iran’s enriched uranium stockpile, and whether military pressure would end a program or merely delay it.

This is precisely the kind of moment when clarity matters most. Timelines are being issued, capabilities are being quantified, threats are being exchanged. Yet history reminds us that the public often receives a simplified moral narrative while the strategic calculus unfolds elsewhere. When enrichment levels, sortie rates, missile defenses, and retaliatory doctrines are discussed in fragments, it becomes easier to frame inevitability where there is still choice.

That is why this week’s video returns to first principles: keep your eyes on the ball. Ask who benefits from escalation, who bears the cost, and whether the evidence presented withstands scrutiny. Accountability is not obstruction, it is the foundation of democratic oversight. If power is confident in its case, it should welcome rigorous examination. And if the stakes truly are global, then critical media is not a luxury, it is an obligation.

Stay critical,

Must-Watch This Week

Former CIA Insider: Are We Headed for War with Iran?

As Washington moves closer to confrontation with Iran, former CIA analyst and whistleblower Melvin Goodman warns that we may be watching history repeat itself. Drawing from his experience at the CIA, Goodman argues that intelligence is once again being politicized, that regime change fantasies ignore decades of failed covert operations, and why the real danger isn’t just military escalation, but the corruption of intelligence, the erosion of diplomacy, and America’s declining global credibility.

When one of the world’s biggest scandals collides with one of the Gulf’s most connected states.

EXCLUSIVE ANALYSIS ON PATREON

The brutality of war in the post-industrial age has empowered the colonial core to fragment and occupy states in the periphery, but the means for liberation across historical patterns have concentrated on guerrilla resistance. From the Improvised Explosive Devices of Ireland to the tunnels of Gaza, small armed groups have organized against occupiers and have engaged in hit-and-run tactics against regular rival military forces, avoiding direct confrontation. Their challenge, and sometimes exploitation, of asymmetrical balances of power nevertheless rely on public support and loyalty from the civilian population. Guerrilla warfare transforms civilians from passive bystanders into an actual terrain of conflict, where stronger actors work to divide the population and blur the reality of a common enemy. In West Asia, Resistance groups continue to organize as guerrillas against US-Zionist colonial aggression. Support from the civilian population is often key for these groups to succeed. As a result, the people become a battlefield for the United States to alienate and turn against their own cause.
