Dearest Reader, 

As I settle back into the work environment at TMJ News after a beautiful Hajj experience, I find myself more motivated than ever before to take our platform to the next level. 

Being away for three weeks in the Holy Lands gave me perspective that is life-altering. To have time to understand one's own weaknesses and get a bird's eye view on life is a blessing that was afforded to me this past month. 

Leaving TMJ News in the care of the my team also showed me the strength of this organization, and that thriving can also happen when one steps away. I was able to see writers and producers step up to the plate, their new capabilities and strengths, as well as production being ramped up. We also saw many successes as we soared well above our goals for Youtube and social media. 

I now return with a newfound resolve to tell more stories of our community, steer TMJ into daring territories, expose injustices and be fully open with our mission; to report the truth through a very devout, God-centric lens. 

As we welcome new writers into the fold, open up new columns for film and book reviews, air new episodes and do more multi-media reporting, I am excited for the road ahead that is clearer than ever before.
