  • More than 200 men and women have alleged they were sexually abused as children in Illinois juvenile detention centers, according to lawsuits filed Monday. The abuse, which reportedly occurred from 1996 to 2021, includes rape and beatings by staff members, chaplains, and others. Illinois is accused of allowing a culture of abuse to persist while failing to investigate or protect the youth in its care.

  • An Israeli airstrike targeted a residential building in Beirut’s southern suburb, the Dahiya, for the second time this week. Three stories of the six-story building have been destroyed, killing 7 civilians so far with many injured and trapped under the rubble, in an apparent assassination attempt as details continue to surface.

  • A Lebanese Sunni scholar hands out food and water to displaced Lebanese Shia in show of Islamic unity, as thousands of Lebanese evacuate the South seeking shelter from Israel’s latest aggression.

  • The death toll from the Israeli aggression on Lebanon since Monday September 23 has now risen to 558, including 55 children and 94 women, with 1,835 wounded, Health Minister Firass Abiad said.

World leaders, particularly from Africa and Latin America, pushed for an immediate ceasefire in Palestine and renewed discussions about the two-state solution as violence in the Middle East continues to escalate.

  • Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, urged Muslims to restore the al-Aqsa Mosque to its rightful owners, emphasizing the importance of solidarity among Muslims for Palestine. Imam Khamenei condemned Israel for committing civilian massacres in Palestine and Lebanon, asserting that the Resistance Axis will ultimately be victorious.

  • The Yemen Armed Forces led by Ansar-allah launched a ballistic missile over greater Tel Aviv, causing sirens to sound over the city. Ben Gurion Airport was forced to halt operations. According to Israeli media, the explosions heard in the sky were from the Arrow system intercepting the missile.

  • The Iraqi Resis-tance launched a series of drone strikes last night targeting Israeli military positions and the port of Eilat, causing Israeli forces to flee in panic. According to Israeli media, injuries were reported, after a total of 6 drones were launched.

The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon, Hezb-ollah, announces the martyrdom of its Secretary-General, Sayed Has-san Nasr-allah, stating he has “joined his great, immortal friends in martyrdom, whom he led for over 30 years, from victory to victory.”

The statement added that they will continue their sacrifice and struggle against their enemy in support of Ga-za and Lebanon.

Amid its aggression on Lebanon, Israel secured an additional $8.7 billion in U.S. military aid to support its ongoing regional military plans across the region, according to its war ministry.

US magazine The Atlantic reports that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman told US Secretary of State Antony Blinken he doesn't personally care about the "Palestinian issue," during a January discussion on normalizing ties with Israel. While expressing interest in calm in Gaza, he opposed Israel re-entering the territory soon after a deal.

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif addressed the Jammu and Kashmir issue, the “vicious cycle of debt,” and sought UN membership for Palestine during the UN General Assembly on September 27.

British police have launched an investigation into a cyberattack after passengers at major railway stations encountered Islamophobic messages while attempting to use Wi-Fi services. The system, managed by Telent, was taken offline after reports of offensive content linked to terror attacks. The incident affected 19 stations, including London Bridge, Euston, Manchester Piccadilly, and Edinburgh Waverley. British Transport Police are collaborating with Network Rail to investigate.
