Muslim Brew - 30th March

The tale of the Red Heiffers

What’s Brewing?

As Eid quickly approaches and many Muslims are getting ready to prepare for such a day, Israelis and Zionists are making other plans. They intend to slaughter a “red cow” or a red heifer, on Eid al-Fitr on April 10 which is going to be April 2 in the Hebrew calendar. The transportation of the red cow is well documented, as the cows will be sent from Texas to the occupied territories, genetically modified in order to be red. The cow is to be burned with its ashes mixed in the Silwan spring, so that the Jews would be “purified” with the ashes. This will grant them passage into the Al Aqsa mosque and can remain inside it for however long they want. The thing that makes this whole situation unique is that it holds significance in biblical prophecies, as longing for the return of the Messiah is central to Evangelicalism.

"Speak unto the children of Israel," the Lord commanded, "that they bring thee a red heifer without spot, wherein is no blemish, and upon which never came a yoke." The cow will be given to a priest to slay, the Lord continued, and burned on a pyre of cedar, hyssop, and a strand of scarlet thread. Then the ashes of the heifer will be mixed with water and used to purify those who have been exposed to death. Anyone who fails to be purified "shall be cut off from among the congregation, because he hath defiled the sanctuary of the Lord."- The Old Testament

Their prophecies state that Temple Mount must be cleansed of impurities and bloodshed before the Temple can be built. That means, they need to sacrifice the red heifer in order to build the Temple Mount, which would signal the end of times and that the return of the Mahdi and Jesus are near according to biblical prophecies.

But while they plot to build this temple after sacrificing the red cow, and strengthen their calls to destroy Al Aqsa mosque, the leaders of the Palestinian Resistance were spotted in Tehran meeting with Grand Ayatollah his Eminence Syed Khamenei, Supreme Leader of Iran. The pot today isn’t just brewing, it's bubbling.

The UN Passes Immediate Ceasefire Resolution

Five months and five vetoed draft resolutions later, the UN Security Council successfully passed a resolution on Monday, a move that was more symbolic than serious. The resolution called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza for the month of Ramadan, and the release of Israeli captives from October 7th. This time, the US did not use its veto power and abstained from voting. Meanwhile, the US continues to send arms to Israel, which manages to successfully ignore UN resolutions with zero accountability.

US Voters are Most Concerned with Inflation and High Prices

Recent survey research leading up to the 2024 elections reveals that US voters’ sentiments about the economy are negative. Inflation and high prices remain the electorate’s top concern and dominate voters’ assessment of the economy. Results also show that Donald Trump enjoys a clear edge over Biden over handling of the economy. According to a CBS News poll released in early March, 65% of voters rate the economy as good during Trump’s presidency, compared to 38% under Biden.

Telegram Cracks Down on Terrorist Activity

Telegram has come under scrutiny after last Friday’s terrorist attack in Russia, which claimed 143 lives. The suspected perpetrators of the massacre were allegedly approached by organizers through a now-deleted Telegram group operating in the name of the Afghanistan-based splinter organization of ISIS. Now, Telegram is clamping down on users involved in spreading calls for terrorist acts, and will be implementing technological hurdles to limit such activity.

What You Need to Know

The ICJ Orders Israel to Allow Food into Gaza

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) issued an order on Thursday, commanding Israel to allow uninterrupted shipments of food into Gaza, where “famine is setting in.” The ruling calls for the immediate entry of basic services and humanitarian assistance, including food, water, and medicine. The order was requested by South Africa, and while it is legally binding, the ICJ lacks the power to enforce it. This means Israel can easily refuse to comply, as it has been doing thus far — with the unwavering support of its allies.

“This belongs to you, but everyone else uses it.”Reply with your guess. P.S: The answer to the last week’s riddle ‘A woman shoots her husband, then holds him underwater for five minutes. Next, she hangs him. Right after, they enjoy a lovely dinner. Explain.’ is ‘She, a photographer, takes a photo of her husband. She processes it, dips it in water, and hangs it to dry. They admire the perfect image and celebrate with a lovely dinner together’. Had you guessed it right?
